hotel in Dubai for Mark Warner

Interior lighting describes place and mood in FORM’s scheme for a new Mark Warner hotel in Dubai. In both public and guest areas, a combination of spot and diffused lighting filter through fretwork screens to cast arabesque shadows, to emulate the desert sky at night or to create intimate spaces for quiet repose within this large hotel.

The hotel includes five restaurants, a nightclub, spa, business centre, conference suite and club lounge together with 411 bedrooms. It will be the first of a new deluxe brand for the company that is intended to have universal appeal, adapting readily to different markets around the world. Therefore, schemes for the Dubai hotel are within the recognisable styling of international hotels but are overlaid with Arabic reference interpreted in a crisp, contemporary manner. This is the seventh project undertaken by Form Design Architecture for Mark Warner Hotels.
