1960s house transformed
The brief called for a re-working of a detached 1960s house set in a generously sized, mature garden to make it more compatible with 21st Century living. FORM Design Architecture’s response was to take a holistic view of the building and its immediate environment.
The resulting scheme dramatically opened up the back of the property, making full advantage of the garden views and effectively extending indoor living into the outdoors and vice versa. The rear wall was completely removed at ground floor level and full height timber-framed sliding doors were introduced opening onto a new external decking area and beyond to the re-landscaped garden.
